Fancy

First, it's important to know I'm not a big perfume girl. Many scents give me headaches, and I tend to think most are just too strong for my tastes. A little goes a LONG way for me. Last night as I was getting lunches packed for the morning, getting the boys ready for bed, etc. I kept getting whiffs of a very strong, very 'florally', very perfumey odor. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I kept sniffing my shirt wondering if I hugged someone who had had one squirt too many. I even checked to see if any magazines were open to the paper perfume samples. I was about to go crazy sniffing while opening drawers, cabinets, closets trying to figure out where the offending odor was coming from. Sam pipes up with a HUGE smile, "Mommy, can you smell me?" Ohhhh. How could I tell him that he was giving me a headache. My Sam. Sweet, flowery smelling boy. Apparently he came across a sample bottle that I got in a goody bag, and decided that Mariah Carey's "Fancy" was just the scent he was looking for. As I got a clean PJ top for him to change into he told me, "Don't worry I sprayed my hands and neck and face too." Good. That's good because 'subtle' isn't what we were going for. It was too late for a bath, so I washed his face, neck, and hands and tried to give him a lesson that "a little goes a long way." I love that guy! He was so proud, and he thought he smelled delicious. Mariah Carey has another loyal follower.
