As the temperatures hit 70 degrees today, I figured I'd better go ahead and put up these snow pictures. Because tomorrow, spring officially arrives, and we will soon forget about the weeks (or months) of very cold and sometimes pleasantly snowy weather. Seriously, even for a northern girl like me, it got cold! However, the frugal (perhaps somewhat 'cheap') side of me worked hard to keep down the electric bill. I get bitter when it nears $200 a month! I admit 64 degrees sounds cold for your living room, but isn't that why we have sweaters? I think I remember very wise people telling me throughout my childhood that if I was cold I could go put a sweater on. Just doing my part to protect our earth's energy sources and keeping the thermostat way way down. Plus this way in July when it is 162 degrees I don't have to feel so guilty when I turn the AC to 76 right? Anyway, here are a few pics of a particularly cold but at least snowy Saturday morning that we got to enjoy together.
The snow wasn't more than an inch or two deep, but it sure looked pretty while it lasted.
These boys loved it! We only get snow once or twice a year, so we enjoyed playing for a good long while before heading in for hot cocoa by the fireplace.
