Santa's Workshop

Dollywood had a special area with ornament making, giant toys, elves, and of course, Santa. Santa was off "feeding his reindeer," but Jack and I had a very nice chat with Mrs. Claus (actually married to "Santa" in real life).

Brotherly love and cold, red noses.

Dollywood

Last weekend we had the chance to get together with college friends. We met halfway between our homes- which just happens to be Pigeon Forge, TN! Fun fun fun!! The kids played well and had a great (however chilly time).

Ridin' along in my automobile......

Brave Erin has a stronger stomach at 5 months pregnant than I will ever have. She took
Sam and Morgan on the spinny tea-cups (I don't do the round and round rides).

Jack was just a bit shy of 36 inches, so he couldn't go on the Veggie Tale roller coaster (he took it like a man though). It broke my heart when he looked at all the other kids going and said, "I not big enough, mama? I too little?" There were other rides that he could go on, and the bees were one of his favorites. The first night there we went on flying elephants that went up and down. It was so cold that the elephants froze in the up position, and we had an adventure 25 feet off the ground for about 5 minutes while we waited for the mechanics to come and bounce us down. No fears or tears though. All the kids sat relatively still and didn't get upset.

November in a Nutshell

I feel the need to explain the lack of updates and posts in the last several weeks. This month has been technologically challenged. Our laptop decided to give up the ghost, and it went to go live with the Geek Squad at Best Buy for 7 weeks. In the spirit of Thanksgiving-- I'm thankful for service plans that cover the screens freezing, batteries not charging, and mother boards dying. Tom's work laptop didn't have our photos, and he traveled a bunch in the last few weeks leaving me without access to blogs, email, etc (I was like a colonial, frontier woman). We went away for a long weekend, had family in town, and other very reasonable excuses. But, we're back now. Our computer came home, so here we go- trying to catch up with our posts. Enjoy!
