Big Announcement. Huge.

Ok folks, (I think most anyone reading this blog probably already knows about this but just in case) we are indeed expecting our third baby boy this October.

Charles (Charlie) Wilson Price is due to join our family in early October (isn't he a cutie?)

Yep, my poor wife. She is completely and totally outnumbered. People keep telling me that before long, I will have my own basketball team which I guess would be exciting if I were a "baller."

I however, am more excited about the prospect of having a fantastic team of yard boys for many years to come!

Anyway, with all that, we thought it was necessary to change things up a bit.

So, we are changing our calling card. Please visit our "new" family blog at: http://the5prices.blogspot.com/

And pending little Charlie's sleeping habits, we will attempt to update a bit more regularly. ; )

And while at Dollywood....

It was so fun that the long weekend we were in the mountains some good friends happened to be there with their family too. Obviously, we had to meet up with them and let the kiddos ride some rides together. They thought it was way cool to get to hang out with friends on our little vacation. This was also the first time that Sam rode the grown-up roller coasters. Oh yeah! I mean the flip upside down, speed 40 miles an hour straight down, make you scream like a girl roller coasters. He was nervous at first, but we are so proud of him for conquering his fear and trying something new and a little scary. Way to go, Sam!

Total cutie pies!

They have said that they are going to get married. I think it's a little soon for an engagement announcement, but they sure are sweet little friends.
Heidi and Mo do the Veggie Tales roller coaster- always a highlight!
Such good buddies!

Tom is braver (and has a stronger stomach), so he does all the spinny, nauseating rides that I just can't handle.
Jack, Loni, and Pop ride the "go up high and crash down" ride. I'm sure it has a name, but I can't remember it.

Jack turned 5

Just about a month ago "baby Jack" turned 5! So it's official. He's not little anymore! Time has flown by, and I still can't believe that he has turned into this spirited, funny, quirky, entertaining, encouraging, and crazy little person right before my very eyes. We took a trip to Dollywood for his b-day weekend since it fell over spring break, and got to celebrate with family up there in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Jackie Boy, you are a joy to us. You challenge us with your questions, curiosity, and spunk. We are beginning to see glimpses of the person God has made you to be in the way you encourage your family, friends and teachers, in the way you boldly announce Jesus' love and sacrifice, and how your tender heart cares about and prays for those who are hurting even when you don't know them. We pray that those characteristics continue to grow and that you will keep your faith and compassion, as you learn more about the Father that created you for His glory. Love you, Buddy!

Spring Soccer

For whatever reason this year we have far fewer pics of the boys playing soccer. Maybe we just became slacker parents and forgot the camera for all but one evening of soccer. That's just one possible (but very likely) scenario. Sam still LOVES him some defense. And Jack, well, at times Jack got competitive and wanted to score. But other nights he enjoyed spinning around in the middle of the field, running as fast as he could, and if he happened to kick the ball- well, that was a bonus. They had fun, got some exercise, and made some friends. Don't worry that even though the Y doesn't technically keep score at this age, Sam had all the stats and final scores for each game.

Jack-ism of the day

Jack's B-day is next week, so we were looking through a book of cakes for him to give me some ideas of what he'd like. We'd decided on a nice 2 dimensional rocket-ship that could make the trip over the mountains with us (I vetoed the 3-D style cakes this year just for the sake of ease in packing). Anyway, he spotted another picture and said he wanted, "the volcano that is interrupting." Shall I mention that typically he's the volcano that's interrupting?
