Lifelong buddies and a little snow

While in Texas we had to sneak in a quick visit to Tom's BFF (sorry- do guys have BFFs?) and his family. Chris and Tom grew up together, were each other's best men, and just basically love each other like brothers. Anyway, it was too quick, but we got to meet sweet Kaelyn and spend time with Chris and Lindsay. The boys didn't terrorize the princess too much, and Lindsay had snacks (that's the way to Sam and Jack's heart). Thanks for making time to get together with all the other holiday plans, Nichols Family!



When we went outside to leave, it was snowing. Let me remind you- this is happening IN TEXAS! WHAT?! Really- you can't see it well in these pictures, but it was really truly, seriously snowing (I'll prove it in the next post with "post-snow" pictures).

AHA! Now you believe me don't you. Real live snow. IN TEXAS!

LOOK! It's even sticking to the ground. Wanna make a New England girl as happy as a pig in mud? Just give her snow on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas to me.
