After several months of thinking about it and waiting, the Price family has welcomed Maddie to our family. Meet the new member of the family!
Maddie is a 7 year old golden retriever that came from a state rescue society. We went to G-Ville on Friday afternoon to meet Maddie's "foster mom" and get to know her a little bit.
A boy and his dog- what could be sweeter? Sam took the responsibility very seriously. He did not want to leave her side. Jack was excited, but he got distracted by ducks, water, and other dogs. However, each morning when he comes downstairs, the first thing he does is find Maddie and snuggle with her.
She is just so smiley!
The boys got comfy real fast, and Maddie has been around children, so we think she was glad to have little ones around her again. They made such a cute little puppy pile.
It has only been a couple of days, but so far- so good! She is a wee bit chubby (the vet says that she has what some people call a little bit of a "weight problem"). She has been gentle (and totally house-trained). There are a couple bad habits we have to work on, but we are glad to have this sweet girl with our family.
