November 2010
Over Thanksgiving we headed to Texas. We were there for almost a week and got to enjoy some things we wouldn't normally have time to do. Our little animal lover LOVED the Fort Worth zoo with Big Dad.

In the bird sanctuary you could buy little sticks with some kind of nectar and seeds to feed the birds. At one point there were 3 or 4 birds hovering on or around Jack. I thought it was a little bit gross (in fact I waited outside that exhibit and watched from the other side of the giant net). However, it was pretty close to Heaven for my Dr. Doolittle.

Sam loved the coastal exhibit where he could pet the sting rays. Bring on the hand sanitizer!

The zoo was much larger than I remembered it from 9 years ago, and after walking it for over 2 hours, we were ready to pay the fare to ride the train back to the zoo entrance.
We don't get to see Tom's grandma all that often, but when we do it sure is a treat to sit and visit with this pretty lady.
Grandma lives on a golf course with a pond behind her house. The boys enjoyed feeding the giant gold fish and spotting the turtles.
