What's missing from the nativity?

Can you tell what is missing from the manger scene below?

Baby Jesus? Check.
Mary and Joseph? Check. Check.
Wise-men bearing gifts? Check.
Shepherds? Check.
Angels saying "Glory to God in the Highest!"? Check.

Leave it to the 4-year old.
"Mommy, where all the animals? Remember Baby Jesus was born in the barn."

Here is Sam's solution to make our nativity scene more scripturally accurate.

So now, around the manger, the cattle are indeed lowing, and the shepherds watching their flocks by night have brought their little sheep along. The wise-men's camels have made the long journey following the star and are in the stable too. A goat, rooster, and a turkey want a peek at the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes. Zebras and rabbits have also found their way to the Christ- child and are doing whatever zebras and rabbits do to welcome the new King.

Next year Sam may be questioning whether having 3 wisemen is really accurate, but I think he made a good observation. The last picture is our nativity- complete with animals. I'm reminded of the details of the birth of our Savior- in a dirty, lowly stable with the meekest of animals to announce his birth (maybe not the zebras, rabbit, and turkey). Thank you, Sam, for recognizing some important characters that were missing.
